Good ‘ol Montana beeswax. That’s what we use.
Beeswax is a natural compound secreted by female bees. Did you know beeswax has no color or odor when it is first produced? As it sits in the honeycomb, however, it absorbs the smell of the honey produced by the bees. This gives the beeswax a slightly sweet, honey-like smell.
Many consumers find beeswax appealing in a skin care product because it is a natural compound. Beeswax is especially helpful for dry and chapped skin because it acts as an emollient and a humectant by drawing moisture to the skin and sealing it in. Researchers have also discovered that beeswax contains small amounts of natural antibacterial agents. Beeswax also contains vitamin A, which may be beneficial in softening and rehydrating dry skin and in cell reconstruction.
Sounds good, doesn’t it?
